Ouno laughed at how ryan was trying to convince Lyss to stay. She covered her mouth as she coughed into her arm, the cough enough to make her shake a little. When she pulled away her arm she used a rage to whipe the blood off her arm before she smiled a little. She took another drink of her water/gin bag and then tied it back onto her waist.

Ryan's head shoots over to Ouno and spots the blood and asks you ok?

Site Owner Posts: 252 | Ouno glanced at him and narrowed her eyes. "Completely fine stop asking," she growled. She got up slowly so she didn't fall over and then glanced over the small camp. "I'm going hunting I'll be back in a few minutes, shouldn't take me long," she commented. She fixed her bow on her shoulder and counted her arrows as she stood ther a moment before she lifted herself up into a tree nearby. "Stay," is the last word she said before she disappeared into the higher leaves of the trees.

is it wrong to ask of your well being? Ryan says under his breath softly. then he looks over to Lyss and asks do you want me to look over your wounds? I have some actual medical supplies here with me.

Ouno sat in the tree not far off above a nearby stream. It was smaller and she guessed it lead down to the river she had come from. She stayed in the tree tell she saw what she was waiting for. A younger buck came to drink and she knotched her arrow and watched the younger bucker, taking aim.

Moderator Posts: 56 | Lyss's dangerous golden gaze narrowed as she glared at Ryan. "So I can put up with you ignoring me and chasing after Ouno, falling all over yourself to fulfill her every whim even when I'm actually hurt and she's just sore? When you only pay attention to me when SHE'S gone? No thanks." she hissed. A snarl split the air between them and Verity's purple glare fell on Ryan from a tree branch about a foot above Lyss's head. The panther was completely hidden by leaves except for her gaze, and the light caught the white of her teeth as she bared them at Ryan. Lyss turned away and stomped off, vanishing through the trees. Verity glared at Ryan a moment longer before following Lyss.

Bree watched as everyone left after Lyss, sighing to herself. Of course. She thought, blowing some hair out of her eye. She looked over to Brazil, who watch the area they had disappeared into in worry. "Alright, you can go after them." Bree gave in, causing the vermin to skitter off after them.

Moderator Posts: 56 | "And why the Hell would you want me back anyway?" Lyss yelled back at him, pausing out of sight. She held out a hand to Brazil and gently picked him up, pulling out another small piece of the fish jerky and giving it to him as she set him on her shoulder.

he gets off the branch and says your different than the rest Lyss. archery swordsmanship and transformation is the usual I saw, but the power of luck itself. To be able to control the hidden thing many strive to have a slight amount of is incrediable. he places his hand on her shoulder and asks listen... I really am sorry for not paying attention to you. I barely know you compared to the rest of the others

Brazil instantly crept onto Lyss's shoulder and gobbled up the fish he was given, soon disappearing down his gullet. He watched as Ryan came down from the trees and listened to him speak, though he growled a little under his breath at him. When he put on hand on Lyss's shoulder, he hissed and bit hard onto one of his fingers. It was clear that he didn't like him at all.

Moderator Posts: 56 | Lyss had been wavering as Ryan spoke. Maybe she was just overreacting..... But it was Brazil who decided it for her when he growled and bit Ryan, and Ryan's reaction only strengthened her resolve. "Well here's the first thing you need to know about me. I understand animals better than most people understand themselves. And the second thing is that I like and trust animals way more than humans. They're better judges of character. So when Verity and Brazil decide you're ok, maybe I will come back. But for now, well, I trust them more than you." she snapped at him before whirling and stalking off with Brazil and Verity.

Ryan takes his hand off of Lyss' shoulder and begins to slowly walk away as then a large mutated hellhound jumps from the trees and looks down the eyes of Lyss growling openly as mutated blood drips from its mouth and teeth. Ryan stops, turns his head and says "if you trust animals more than humans, then that monster of an animal shouldn't kill you right where you stand then. after all, they will hunt their victims to the end of the earth if they have too...."

Moderator Posts: 56 | Lyss jumped a bit, though only in surprise. Verity snarled and started to lunge toward the beast, but a word from Lyss stopped her. She stepped toward the hound, holding her hands out and spread in a gesture of peace. "Shhhhh....." she said, her voice low and soothing. "Shhh, it's ok." she paused and though a second before speaking again, though her words came out in a series of yips and whines as she spoke to the hound in it's own language. Being Half-Elf had major advantages. She had really said, 'Hey, it's ok. No ones going to hurt you. There's no need for fighting,' but no one other than the hound would be able to understand her. She kept her gaze on the hound but didn't meet it's gaze. She didn't dare look away and show weakness, but she also knew meeting it's gaze was a challenge and that would make it attack.

Moderator Posts: 56 | The other advantage of being halfelf was that she also had elven weaponry. A fencing sword appeared at her side at her need for it, it's sheath on her belt. Lyss didn't ever want to kill animals or anything really, but she understood the necessity. Without looking down her hand rested gently on the hilt of the sword. "Now, none of that." she told the beast in it's language. "I don't want to hurt you. It doesn have to turn ugly." she coaxed in barks.

The large six foot tall beast begins to creep around Lyss in a circle continuing to stare at her

Moderator Posts: 56 | "Come on. I know youre the ruler of the forest around here, you don't have to fight to prove it." Lyss continued soothingly, slowly rotating around in a circle to watch his movements. She didn't show any fear, indeed, she didn't feel any. She was confident in her abilities to talk the beast down, and failing that, well, the sword wasn't just for show.
